Maaka Fiso (29) was a finalist in the first season of X Factor New Zealand in 2013. At the time, he trended on social media with his soulful rendition of Titanium, putting Sia’s version back into the New Zealand Top 10 iTunes charts.

 

The Upper Hutt native has spent the last few years touring with some of New Zealand’s most recognised singers and musicians including Aaradhna, Stan Walker and Tyna Keelan. In June 2015, he moved to Auckland to focus on his music career and has since been working with Waatea Music on nummerous songs in English and Te Reo Māori.
